The Background
One of the largest manufacturers of home appliances wanted to transform the vision-based inspection of the electrical components to improve quality and reliability. The existing inspection system was highly inaccurate and led to both false alarms, leading to labor wastage and lower employee morale. The client had experimented with Deep Learning and was ready to build a state-of-the-art AI solution that would accurately identify bad components, and deploy the solution in a way to scale inside a plant and across plants.
